What joy an allied spirit rune can bring just before entering the boss arena, and what fear the appearance of a red enemy ghost can bring after a long exploration of the catacombs! The expansion adds one of the key aspects of the series to the core Dark Souls gameplay!
Enemies and allies from this expansion can be added to the basic sets «Dark Souls - Tomb of Giants» and «Dark Souls - Painted World of Ariamis».

Game features
Let`s note a few leading mechanical advantages on the way to dark locations to fight giant bosses.
- Programmed enemy actions. As with lesser opponents when it comes to movement distance and hit speed, bosses feel truly alive: their gradually played action decks don`t shuffle and loop after the first round of use, but will react to external conditions, player and boss positioning, and its condition - Stamina and injuries.
- Using stamina. All moves and hits have their price, after which the hero needs time to recover.
- Campaign Mode. A series of mini-boss encounters to face the giant at the end. Each boss, of course, has his own pattern of behavior.
- Using bonfires. A defeated hero also loses everything and respawns around the bonfire. However, in the tabletop incarnation of Dark Souls, the fire can go out after a certain number of uses, after which the hero will no longer be able to return.
