This is a significant addition to the board game Everdale, a beautiful and quite popular representative of the economic strategy genre, in which players lead a settlement of forest creatures and equip their settlements. Sharp Ridges significantly expands the boundaries of this fabulous world and adds a new solo mode, as well as the opportunity to create a new type of worker. During the game, participants will be able to perform a new action — Journey, and each of them will have a new hero — The Wandering Rabbit, represented in his own figurine. This small and timid-looking animal will courageously explore new territories beyond the borders of his native valley, noting all his emotions and thoughts in his own travel diary! On his way, he will meet mountain people, amazing places, tricky paths and even one of the legendary large beasts that, according to rumors, roam these mountains.
What`s new in the rules?
Now players start a new game already having the famous The Wandering Rabbit as assistants, who will have to go a long and difficult path, visiting many interesting places. Rapidly moving along the mountain paths, he will make various useful discoveries and collect maps to plan the final expedition to the barely visible peak of Mount Strimkoshir. During each season, his path will be complicated by adverse weather conditions that will change and affect the course of the game in different ways. In order for the expeditions to be successful, players should plan their actions wisely and skillfully use the effects of discovery cards.
During their Journeys, travelers will have the opportunity to meet truly majestic creatures and make friends with them. In this case, powerful allies will go straight to Everdel to provide their assistance to the players there. Each such giant has unique abilities that make him an extremely useful assistant. For example: The Rune King will bring the player additional resources, Tyshik will ignore the 1-chip location limit, and Meadowlap will give a few berries.
Also, the Everdell: Spirecrest expansion adds a new solo mode option to the game. This time, the Rat King, already well-known to players from the base game, has decided to prevent them from exploring the world around Everdell and finding new allies. He made an agreement with some Great Creature, whose goal will now be to pursue and further rob the poor Rabbit Travelers, who already have enough problems.
