Board Game Ninjan
The starless night has enveloped Neyagawa with a velvet blanket, decorated with a thin crescent moon. The deep silence is broken only by the creaking of the branches of the age-old cypresses. The impeccable black hakama, devoid of bright details, perfectly camouflages him in the darkness. A sword with a short straight blade is attached behind his back, on each hand - tekagi claws. The shinobi has gone hunting.
This is a fast-paced card board game, which is built on the principles of "rock-paper-scissors", only with a cool setting, where players transform into skilled Japanese assassins.
Gameplay
The game lasts 9 rounds. At the beginning of the game, each player receives 9 cards.
The cards have 3 types (suits):
- rock;
- scissors;
- paper.
And also have values from —6 to 10.
- Players randomly lay out 3 cards on the table face up — these are the targets for the ninja.
- Players act simultaneously, choosing a card from their hand that they plan to play. Then they reveal their cards, also simultaneously.
- They must play the corresponding card to beat the card on the table. The card must be of a higher value and win according to the rules of «rock-scissors-paper». For example: if one player played the card «rock» with a value of «7» against the «scissors» card, and the other played a «stone» card with a value of «4», the first player wins. He takes the entire pile of cards he played against, then lays all the cards he won face down in front of him. And finally lays one of the cards from his hand in place of the taken pile, thus starting a new one.
- If there are several cards in the pile, the player plays only against the top card.
- If a player crosses several cards on the table, he can choose any of those piles.
- If the player does not win, he does not take any cards. Instead, he places his card on top of the pile of his choice, so that the denominations and suits of all previous cards are visible.
End of the game
The game ends after the 9th round. Players count all plus and minus cards, and the player who has scored the most victory points wins.
The game is ideal for beginners, as it has simple rules and dynamic gameplay. It is also suitable for playing with colleagues or family. Thanks to its compact size, you can always take it with you anywhere to quickly throw a game or two.
