Wooden Chess in a Cardboard Box

Undoubtedly, the most famous dueling game of all time and people. Even if you have a huge collection of various boards from fillers to strategy giants, this does not give you the right to ignore its majesty chessboard.

A few dogmas

White always starts. To win, you need to kill the opponent`s King. You can only move one piece per move, the exception is the castling of the king with a rook. Your pieces can move either to an empty square or to an enemy square. Nobody except the knight jumps over the pieces.

How the pieces move

• King - one square in any direction
• Queen - the most mobile piece, in any direction at any available distance
• Rook - horizontally or vertically
• Bishop - diagonally
• Knight - with the letter «G»
• Pawn - moves only forward, and attacks only diagonally, one square. Exception - from the starting squares, each pawn can move two squares forward at once. When the pawn reaches the opposite side of the playing field, it turns into any other piece except the King.
