Magnetic Сheckers ″Go″ (19 x 19 cm)
This classic game appeared more than 2,000 years ago in ancient China, and is also known as the samurai game and is part of Japanese traditions.
Incredibly, it still remains popular, as evidenced by amateur tournaments around the world, and in some countries even professional competitions.
Principle of the game
- The goal of the game – capture the opponent`s territory and chips.
- The player with black chips starts the game. Players take turns placing one chip on the playing field at the intersection of the lines. A player can capture territories if he can surround the opponent`s stones from all sides. Captured chips are removed from the field.
- A move that would lead to the removal of one`s own chips is prohibited.
The situation of "Co"
A player cannot make a move that repeats the situation in his last move. In other words, you can`t go back and forth, because it can go on forever.
End game
In a situation in which it is no longer possible to make an unprohibited move, players take turns to pass and score victory points:
- for the number of empty crossings of lines inside captured territories,
- for captured opponent stones.
