An updated edition of the popular board game for the association «Dixit». This version of the game has an improved design, a separate field for counting points has appeared, and the maximum number of participants has been expanded to 8 people.
A revolutionary party game for the association
This is the most famous and popular game for the association. The game has already become a classic of party games. Dixit was invented by the French game designer Jean-Louis Rubira and drawn by the artist Marie Cardois, who worked on greeting cards. When it was released, the game made a real breakthrough in the genre of party board games. It raised the bar to a serious height and became a benchmark for game designers creating party games.
The game received excellent ratings and reviews. It has survived many reprints and localizations, has acquired a huge number of additions and even several clones.
Magical illustrations
Do you want to involve family members in the game or have an interesting time with friends? Are you throwing a party or going on a picnic - and are you thinking about how to entertain the guests? The game is ideally suited for such cases. However, the game not only allows you to have a good time, it is also incredibly useful, especially for young players. Dixit trains associative thinking and analytical skills, develops intuition and imagination.
The main feature of the game is huge cards with illustrations, real works of art. Yes, they are a little strange, surreal and absurd, like the works of Salvador Dali or Jan Švankmajer. But how beautiful they are! You can look at these masterpieces for whole days, just sorting through the cards. However, this is still a board game, not a collection of beautiful postcards. So let`s play, develop creative skills and get aesthetic pleasure!
How to play
The rules are simple and understandable even for beginners. Participants place their rabbit chips at the beginning of the track for scoring points. They receive six random cards and voting tokens.
One player plays the role of the storyteller. Secretly from the other players, he chooses a card, comes up with an association for it and voices it. The rest of the players also secretly choose one card each. The picture on this card should correspond as closely as possible to the storyteller`s association. The storyteller, without looking, collects the cards, adds his own card, shuffles them and puts them in a row.
The players must guess the storyteller`s card. They look at the cards in the row and choose one token to vote: the number on the chosen token corresponds to the card`s position in the row. You cannot vote for your own card. The storyteller does not participate in the voting. Players simultaneously reveal their tokens.
After receiving points, players move their rabbits to the corresponding number of divisions of the victory points counter. In a new round, the storyteller becomes the next player clockwise. Participants take one card from the deck. Play until the last card in the deck. The winner is the player whose rabbit is leading on the track.
