A new version of the abstract superhit «Azul» with stained glass instead of colorful tiles. King Manuel I of Portugal really liked how you decorated his palace in Evora, so he decides to send you to assemble stained glass windows at the palace of Sintra, his summer residence. Can you please the king again by creating the most beautiful stained glass windows in the world?
PREPARATION FOR THE GAME
At the beginning of the game, players receive boards and place chips of their colors above the first columns. Six glasses of different colors are laid out randomly on the round counter. Plates are placed in a circle on the table. The first player draws glasses from a bag and fills the plates with them - four in each. You can start.
GAME PROCESS
The game lasts six rounds. Players take turns, starting with the first player. The active player either takes glasses of the same color from any plate (the remaining glasses are placed in the center of the table), or from the center of the table (in this case, he also receives the first player`s tile).
The selected glasses are placed in one of the columns of the board - to the right of the player`s chip. In this case, the chip is placed above the corresponding column. If the player fills the entire column with glasses, he discards four glasses, and places the fifth in the cell of the palace window, after which he receives victory points.
Glasses that do not fit are discarded and "broken". Broken glass is marked on a special track. Instead of taking the glass on their turn, a player can move their chip by placing it above the first (leftmost) column. The round ends when there are no glass left on the plates and in the center of the table.
DETERMINING THE WINNER
After the sixth round, players move on to scoring. Participants receive one point for every three glass pieces remaining on the boards. They then receive bonuses for ornaments or filled windows. After that, they lose points according to the broken glass track. The player with the most points becomes the winner.
