Keep in mind that you will have to think and plan a lot in advance here, so don`t get carried away by the beautiful components and magical patterns that you can lay out from the pleasant-to-the-touch tiles. Of course, we agree — they really are magically enchanting!
Let`s fantasize: what would you do if you were a talented master of laying mosaic tiles, and someone, equally ambitious, wanted to take all the laurels from you? You need to prove to him that there is only one best master here — and it`s not him! You are tasked with decorating the dome of the palace of King Manuel I in Sintra, and you will do your best to defeat this arrogant upstart!
Each of you will try to create the most beautiful and sophisticated pattern on your playing field. It would seem that what is so difficult? Take the tiles and glue them to your wall. But… Try to keep track of what your opponent is taking and anticipate his moves! The wrong choice can cost you victory.
HOW TO PLAY
The rules are quite simple, but does that mean that the game is easy? Not at all! Learn to see your opponent through and through to thwart his well-thought-out strategy and not break your own! In the center of the table are factories — round boards from which you will take tiles for decoration. Each factory is divided into two zones: the sun and the moon. You have to take turns taking actions — in particular, taking tiles of the same color from the sun of any one factory and placing them on the plate of your dome.
You can take tiles of the same color from the sun of any one factory, or target all available factories and take everything lying in the moon zone. You can also take an open joker chip, which will surely help you complete a row, or place a player token to take a plate from the scoreboard.
The resulting tiles will jump onto your board — try to create the coolest pattern to get as many points as possible for it and personal royal favor! As you complete a row of the dome, you will constantly count points — so important for your victory! At the end of the fifth round, you will also add to them all the points earned for the tasks on the extra points tokens. So don`t waste time, and fight this battle at full strength from the first round: you need to not only think about your moves, but also constantly analyze your opponent`s actions to prevent him from getting profitable tiles.
