The Fellowship of the Ring and their allies continue to fight, although not everyone remembers what this battle is for. Powerful nations - humans, dwarves, elves - are not given such a big heart as a small hobbit. But Frodo`s hope is enough for everyone. His determination illuminates the endless path, not allowing others to lay down their arms. For Middle-earth!

This is the newest cooperative game using the iconic "Pandemic" system - now in the setting of the works of J. R. R. Tolkien! Embark on a dangerous journey, pave the way through lands breathing with danger, and help Frodo complete the task on which the fate of all Middle-earth depends.

The rich game mechanics open up endless opportunities for creating strategies, and 24 different tasks, 14 events, 13 characters and different levels of difficulty provide high variability. The fantasy atmosphere is complemented by excellent design and high-quality components, including Nazgûl figures and the Barad-ûr tower for throwing dice, from where the fiery Eye will constantly monitor your brave adventure.

Gameplay

Players unite to protect Middle-earth from the forces of Shadow and complete a certain number of tasks, the last of which is to help Frodo destroy the One Ring. Each player controls two characters with special abilities.

Players take turns taking the following three steps:

1. Perform Actions. On your turn, you can perform up to 4 actions with one of your characters and up to 1 action with another of your characters.

• Travel. Move a character (and optionally other characters and units in the same location with you) to a connected location by a normal path, a special path, or a line of contact.
• Brotherhood. If your character is in the same location as another player`s character, you may give or take a card from them that corresponds to your region.
• Equip. In the refuge, you can discard a region card to receive a token with the symbol indicated on the card.
• Summon. While in a Free Peoples location, spend one friendship token to add one matching unit to the location.
• Attack. If your character has friendly and Shadow units in the location, make a combat roll and apply the effects of the dropped faces.
• Capture. Spend three valor tokens to capture the fortress, which will now act as a refuge.

2. Take 2 Player Cards. Take 2 cards from the player deck. If you drew a Darkening Sky card, resolve its effect.
3. Draw Shadow Cards. Turn over the top card from the Shadow deck and play half of its effect: Advance or Reinforce. Repeat this process as many times as indicated by the current threat level.

Work together and plan, evade the Eye of Sauron and the Nazgûl, protect Frodo with your special abilities, defeat enemy units and gain control of key locations, and most importantly — don’t lose hope!

End of the Game

Players win when Frodo successfully completes the task of Destroying the One Ring. If Frodo loses all hope points, the players lose.
