Board Game Kluster
This is a fast-paced, yet incredibly intense game of magnets. All you have to do here is get rid of each of your magnetic stones by placing them inside a rope-bounded area. Basically, a small rope circle is the entire playing field. Place it on a flat surface and give everyone the same number of irregularly shaped magnets. Don`t worry about reading the complicated rules - you`ve already started playing, haven`t you noticed?
Everyone takes turns placing one of their stones into this restricted area. The trick is that at first it seems easy, but after a few rounds, everything changes. After all, each magnet you place can suddenly attract the neighboring ones - and the entire cluster will have to be returned to your supply. Now, try to get rid of your set of stones before the others do! Simplicity is deceptive, and magnets are quite unpredictable. Which is better: to lay out the larger ones first, and then the smaller ones, or vice versa?
Game mechanics
The game uses a light but very expressive mechanic of "Area Majority / Influence". Its meaning is that players try to dominate a certain limited area - here, respectively, inside the rope contour. So, with their own actions, they can influence the location of forces. In most games, in particular the European board school, this mechanic is manifested in the control of territories, but in this game it acquires a physical, almost tactile manifestation: the magnets must remain inside the zone and not touch others - this is a struggle for a safe place within the common playing area.
