Build a Pirate Empire

The life of a pirate is never easy, let alone boring. Whether you`re smuggling contraband past military patrols or defending your hideout from rivals - you`ll need both wits and courage to build your own pirate empire from scratch.

This is a story-driven cooperative game with inheritance mechanics and a pirate theme, in which you build your own empire by successfully completing all sections of the campaign. Each choice you make will change the development of the plot and the components available to you. After completing the campaign, you can play each scenario separately.

Cards

• Empire Card. The Empire Card allows you to store resources. In addition, both players can use its features. This card shows the resource storage, active side, and abilities.
• Memo Card. One side of this card shows the pirate`s journal: the round structure and the round indicator. On the reverse side is the campaign journal, which you update throughout the campaign.
• Character Cards. Characters can own resources, use their skills and abilities, and mark progress toward objectives. These cards show their name, skills, abilities, and level numbers.
• Scenario Cards. These cards are flipped and rotated to represent scenes, resources, objectives, and threats. These cards are named differently depending on which side is being used.

Gameplay

Each scenario lasts up to 7 rounds. Each round, players take turns being the active player. Both players can use their abilities at any time. On your turn, perform the following steps:

1. Check for Crisis. If a threat triggers a crisis in the active scene, resolve the crisis effect.
2. Take 1 action. Take 1 action to gain resources, progress the scenario, or change the active scene.
3. Save Resources. This is an optional step. You may place your character`s resources under the empire card (you may save up to 3 cards).
4. Check for End of Round.

The round ends if either player`s deck runs out at the end of their turn. If this is the 7th round or if the reset is exhausted, the players lose the scenario. Otherwise, prepare for a new round.
