This is a card-based log-building game in which you have to fight for significant points in the terrain and cities of Ukraine against the advancing troops of the Russian invaders.
The game has two modes:
The main task of the game – to gain control of Ukrainian places for a certain number of victory points.
Gameplay
At the beginning of the game, the cards in each deck are shuffled. The occupier deck and the panic deck are placed separately.
Players receive 7 cards from the Armed forces of Ukraine deck. The next 5 cards from the deck form a "market", which is subsequently updated from the deck each round.
Each turn, the player places threat cards in front of him: 3 cards from the occupier deck. If a card of a settlement or object appears among them, it is placed separately. After that, another card is drawn from the deck.
On his turn, the player needs to block the threats of all three cards. If this is not possible, for each threat card that is not closed, he fills his deck with a Panic card.
Cards types
Different types of enemy weapons can be countered with the help of certain cards. On the cards, this is shown by infographics. All symbols are related to equipment and military vehicles that actually exist. For example, to destroy a fighter, you will need a card capable of fighting air targets.
Cards also allow you to purchase new cards from the market and provide combat support to cards already in combat on the table.
The cards remaining in the hand at the end of the turn (the sum of the numbers on them) show how many cards the player can reach at the beginning of the next round. Therefore, in the game it is important not only to play cards correctly during your turn, but also to leave the right amount in your hand to prepare for the next round.
