Hunt legendary characters from «Star Wars»!
This is a light strategy card game in which you will become a professional bounty hunter, searching for targets throughout the vast galaxy. Who will you meet in this box: Chewbacca, Padme, Boba Fett, Han Solo, Grog, IG-11… Find loyal allies, arm yourself with droids and capture targets to become the most famous bounty hunter!
You will have three game objectives that will help you earn victory points: capturing targets, completing contracts and buying crates at the Jawa market. You don`t have to wait for your turn, because players move at the same time!
Gaining points
- Capture the objective. Capturing objectives is not an easy task. The player will have to hire assistants from other bounty hunters and buy droids from the Javan market. But remember that nothing in life is free: hired bounty hunters will make you lose prestige points at the end of the game!
- Buy crates from the Javan market. When you visit the Javan market, you may come across crates with equipment. These crates earn points at the end of the game, but you will have to pay for them with Imperial Credits.
- Complete a Contract. Contracts allow you to earn extra points for completing special tasks.
Cards
There are 4 decks in the game: the Objectives deck, the Bounty Hunter deck, the Javanese Market deck, and the Contracts deck.
- Bounty Hunter Cards. You play Bounty Hunter cards for free, but you lose points for them at the end of the game.
- Droid Cards. You get Droid cards from the Javanese Market, so you have to pay credits to activate them. However, you do not lose points for them at the end of the game.
- Crate Cards. To activate a crate card and score points for it at the end of the game, you must pay the card`s cost. You can prepare the card and activate it during one of the following rounds.
- Contract Cards. You score points for contract cards at the end of the game if you have fulfilled the specified requirements. There are 3 types of contracts: a contract with two different objectives, a contract with two identical objectives, and a contract with an objective and a crate. The same objective or crate can count towards completing different contracts, regardless of their type.
Gameplay
Each round consists of 3 consecutive steps. Players perform these steps simultaneously. The guild master sets the pace of the game by reading out the appropriate information at the beginning of each step. Before moving on to the next step, make sure that all players have completed the current step. The guild master ensures that everyone plays at the same time.
- Draw a card. Draw 1 card from any deck into your hand so that you have 5 cards in your hand. Each deck contains cards of a certain type. Take the cards that best fit your strategy.
- Choose a card. Choose a card in your hand and do one of two things: sell a card or play a card.
- Sell a card. Discard the selected card (face up in the discard area that matches the card`s color) and gain 1 Imperial Credit. You can discard any card. Imperial Credits are used to activate Javanese Market cards.
- Play a card. Place the selected card face up in front of you. If the card does not have a value, activate it immediately by turning it upside down. If the card does have a value (a Javanese Market card), you must pay to activate it. If you cannot or do not want to activate a card now, prepare it by turning it horizontally.
After selling or playing a card, you may activate any prepared Javanese Market cards by paying their cost.
- Pass cards in hand. Give the 4 cards remaining in your hand to the player on your left and receive 4 cards from the player on your right. Once the players have completed these 3 steps, a new round begins. Repeat these 3 steps in this order until the game is over.
Attack and Capture
Players attack the target in front of them by placing attack cards (bounty hunters and droids) to the right of the target card. If the combined attack values of the 3 target cards are equal to or greater than the target`s 3 corresponding defense values, you have captured the target. Flip the captured target cards horizontally so everyone can see how many targets you have captured. Depending on the symbol on the card, you can receive an Imperial Credit for capturing a target or take and activate a Contract card.
End of the game
The first player to capture 4 targets receives an Imperial Credit and takes and immediately activates a Contract card. If 2 or more players capture their fourth target at the same time, they all gain the above bonuses. After capturing the fourth target, the end of the game begins. Complete this round, then play 2 more rounds. After that, the game ends. Proceed to scoring!
You can also play a trial game in a simplified version of the game without Contract cards to quickly master the basics of the game.
