The Empire continues its conquest of the Galaxy, and numerous systems can barely resist them... However, there is still a rebellion that continues the fight against the totalitarian military order, a rebellion that has recently received new hope. Star Wars. The deck-building game will transform two players into leaders of the enemy Empire and the Rebellion and will take you to a galaxy far, far away, where the courage and wisdom of the Jedi oppose the cunning and fury of the Sith.
The game uses all previous developments in the use of deck-building mechanics to create the most balanced duel confrontation with a multitude of different card combinations and a wonderful transfer of the beloved world of space adventures to the board game.
Game Features
- Thematic use of the Force. The balance of the Force in the game is tracked on a separate track. Some cards require the Force to be on your side to use their properties. In addition, if you can bring the marker to the last mark on your side of the Force, at the beginning of each turn it will bring 1 additional resource: the world itself and fate will be on your side.
- Common Card Market. All cards in the game belong to one of three factions: loyal to the Empire, loyal to the Rebellion, and neutral. You can hire either a card from your faction to strengthen your deck, or, for a sufficient fee, a neutral card from bounty hunters and other Outer Rim rogues. However, all cards are in the same deck and in the same market row - the Galaxy row, which affects the ability of players to strengthen their decks.
- Sabotage and Bounty Hunting. Cards in the Galaxy row can also become targets for a special attack - sabotage or bounty hunting, depending on the enemy side. If you destroy a card from the Galaxy row in this way, it will always bring you a special reward.
- Defense of bases. The condition for victory is to destroy three of the opponent`s bases, but the large ships will protect the enemy base from attack. After destroying the lair, the forces of the Empire or the Rebellion regroup and head to a new base to continue the fight!
Gameplay
At the beginning of the game, both players have decks of 10 relatively weak starting cards, and start at bases without special properties - Dantooine and Lothal. During the game, you can strengthen your deck with new cards, and after destroying the starting base, you can replace it with another base from your deck. Each base has its own unique properties, which, in combination with the purchased cards, will help you win.
The condition for winning the game is to destroy three of your opponent`s bases. Until one side wins, players will take turns to improve their decks, obtain resources, influence the balance of Power, and attack the enemy.
The Empire player always takes the first turn.
At the beginning of your turn, you must:
- Place a new base if the previous one was destroyed by your opponent. All bases have unique properties and different durability.
- Obtain resources from all large ship cards. Take the appropriate number of resource tokens from the common supply. You need resources to strengthen your deck with cards from the Galaxy series.
After completing the preparation for your turn, you can perform the actions available to you in any order and any number of times.
On your turn, a player can:
- Play a card. Put a card from your hand into your play area and immediately receive the amount of resources indicated on it. You can use this card`s ability or attack with it on your turn.
- Purchase a card. Pay the appropriate number of resource tokens from your personal supply and place the purchased card face down in your discard pile. This card will be added to your deck the next time you build a new deck from the discard pile, and you can then add it to your hand at the end of one of your turns to play it later.
- Apply a card`s ability.Apply the card`s text effect and flip it over to indicate that you have applied its ability this round. Each card`s ability can only be used once per turn.
- Choose a target to attack and attack.Group all the cards you intend to attack with in one place in your play area and announce the target of the attack to your opponent. Note that you cannot attack a card from the Galaxy row with large ships. Take damage tokens according to the number of symbols on the cards you are attacking with. If you attack a base, before dealing damage to it and placing a token on it, you must destroy all of your opponent`s large ships.
You can distribute damage tokens among multiple ships yourself. If you destroy a large ship, it goes to your opponent`s discard pile. If you destroy a base, it is removed from play, and your opponent chooses another base card from the remaining cards in his stack at the start of his next turn.
If you have destroyed your opponent`s third base, the game ends immediately with your victory.
After a player has completed all of his available actions, he must send all cards from his zone to the discard pile, except for large ship and base cards, and reveal all cards whose properties were used this turn. Then discard the remaining cards to the cards in his hand and return any unused resource tokens to the common supply. Draw 5 cards from the deck into your hand and pass the turn to your opponent.
