Ruins of an Ancient Civilization
In this board game, 4 new explorers get the opportunity to visit the island of Arnak, full of mysteries and secrets. You will not only have to get acquainted with the unique ancient culture, but also try to get the most out of this discovery for yourself and your expedition.
The basis of each game is three key mechanics:
- deckbuilding (as you move through the island, you will get more and more use out of your own cards and replenish your deck with new ones);
- placement of workers (your wards will bring you treasured resources, unique artifacts and victory points, using the constantly updated capabilities of the island);
- exploration (gradually delving deeper into the island, you will discover new places where you can send your workers).
Gameplay
The game lasts for 5 rounds, each of which contains 5 phases:
- Selection (choose from of your deck of cards up to 5);
- Performing actions (players take several turns, performing one main action and any number of free ones);
- Passing (if the player can no longer or does not want to perform actions);
- Preparing for the next round.
- Turning the moon staff (moving the staff will cause the moon disk to fill, at the end of the fifth round a full moon will shine in the sky of Arnak, and this will mean the end of the game).
All sources - for your benefit
Each of your achievements (obtained artifacts, solved mysteries, unique cards, accumulated resources) at the end of the game will bring you treasured POs. Their sum will determine the best researcher of ancient ruins.
