Board Game Welcome Back to the Dungeon
A standalone sequel to the game «Welcome to the Dungeon!, an exciting card filler with auction and luck check mechanics. Players are waiting for new adventurers, equipment, monsters and special monsters. Also included is a track and a dragon token to track the number of hero life points. You don`t need the first part to play, but you can mix the components with it for more variety.
Fighting Underground Monsters
A game consists of a series of rounds. Each round, players bargain for who will send the hero to the Dungeon. They take turns either adding monsters to the Dungeon, or removing equipment, or passing. The last one who did not pass goes to fight monsters in the Dungeon. If the hero defeats all the monsters and remains alive, the player receives a success tile. To win the game, you need to get two success tiles. Or be the last person not to be eliminated from the game.
Game progress
At the beginning of each round, players choose one hero - Necromancer, Princess, Ninja or Bard. Their equipment is placed next to the chosen hero. The shuffled monster deck is also placed nearby.
The round is divided into 2 phases:
- Trading phase. Each player takes turns, clockwise, taking a card from the monster deck or passing until the end of the round. The player can place the monster card they have taken face down in the Dungeon pile or place this card in front of them, covering it with one of the available equipment tiles (this card and tile are considered discarded until the end of the round).
- Adventure Phase. The last player who has not passed adds up the hero`s life points on his tile and on the remaining equipment tiles and places the dragon token on the corresponding track division. Then he turns over the monster cards from the Dungeon pile in turn. If there is an equipment tile that can be used to defeat the monster, he discards it without losing life points. Otherwise, he loses life points, moving the dragon token back the corresponding number of divisions. When a player reveals a special monster card, they also apply its effect.
Victory, Success Tiles, and Elimination
If a player defeats all monsters and the hero still has life points left, they gain a success tile. Otherwise, the player turns their landmark cards red side up. If they were already red side up, the player is eliminated from the game.
The last player to win the game. Or the first to gain two success tiles.
