Additional content for solo and co-op play

This is the first expansion pack for the game «War of the Ring. The Card Game», which offers solo and cooperative game rules developed by Ian Brodie, in which the role of the player for Shadow will be taken on by the "bot" algorithm, while the player or players for the Free Peoples will be able to act together against this "bot".

The algorithm will also be balanced by new cards of factions, Battles and Paths, which must be replaced with cards from the base game before the start of the game with the addition.

Features of the bot algorithm

• New cards to improve balance - new cards of factions, Paths and Battles in the game are designed to balance the actions of the bot, whose algorithm differs from the usual rules of the game.
• Emerged sooner, left later - the bot always plays a card in the row to the right of the rest of its cards. It is interesting that in order to choose what to destroy or lose, the bot will always first choose the far right card.
• Benefit selection system - the bot will not play extra cards if it is not beneficial to it: for this, the system has a number of checks in the action algorithm. This also applies to the alternative choice between using an action from a card and 
• Preserving intrigue - players for the Free Peoples do not see the cards in the bot`s hand, and he does not have to discard or destroy cards to play them.
• Difficulty adjustment - the difficulty of fighting the bot can always be adjusted by changing the number of cards that the Shadow will draw at the beginning of the round.
• Changing the game end conditions  - you must complete all the Path cards to complete the scenario, and only then determine the winner.

The rules for the bot`s actions on the Shadow side differ from the usual rules for players. This add-on contains two reminder diagrams with the bot`s action algorithm, which should help you during your first games with this add-on.

The bot`s algorithm takes into account all the modern mechanics of the strategy «The War of the Ring. The Card Game» and adds new ones that should balance the randomness in the bot`s actions, which actually should not be planned in advance to maintain tactical surprise during the game. 

With this add-on, your games will sparkle with a huge number of new colors. Even those who usually avoid cooperative or solo play will like the solo mode.
