In the silence of the snowy hills of remote islands, he travels through a land that was not his own, but is no longer a stranger. His kimono will not hide his scars, nor will his gaze betray his peace. He continues his mission, tracking down yokai and oni that leave bloody traces in the snow and keep people in fear.
In his bag — there are not only elixirs and traps. There is also carefully wrapped matcha, and a modest set for a tea ceremony. After all, in these harsh lands, a shared cup of tea can unite destinies and even form an alliance.
This is an independent semi-cooperative game based on the card strategy «The Witcher - Path of Destiny». It immerses players in a unique alternative version of the Witcher universe, inspired by Japanese mythology. The version was created based on the manga adaptation by its author, Rafal Yachi.
Seven familiar characters appear in new guises as heroes of the era of ancient Japan: Geralt, Yennefer, Dandelion, Ciri, Vesemir, Triss and Yuki-onna - the mistress of snow. The amazing design perfectly conveys the atmosphere of reimagined adventures in the land of the sun.
The game emphasizes cooperation between participants, adding cooperative mechanics. New elements and partnership interaction allow you to create a unique experience depending on who you travel with.
Gameplay
Story cards have been replaced by beautifully illustrated chapter cards. Partnership fields are placed between players, which track the degree of cooperation of the players, provide immediate bonuses and victory points at the end of the game.
The game lasts three sections, each of which consists of three turns:
- Taking Cards.
- Playing Cards. Some cards depict tea ceremony symbols.
- Tea Ceremony. Cards with tea ceremony effects and passing cup symbols allow the player to score partnership points.
Unlike the basic version of the game, at the end of the round, players receive victory points for the symbol they collected less and experience points for the symbol they collected more. In this way, players will constantly seek balance in their playing area, striving for common goals with their neighbors.
Partnership
By moving around the partnership field, players will be able to gain each other`s skills. When reaching the appropriate division, take a skill card from the partner`s supply.
Solo game
Automaton — an additional player controlled by the game, he does not receive victory points. When playing alone, you will choose two neighboring Automatons and the difficulty level.
