The game contains separate scenarios with unique complications and objectives. And after each playthrough, you`ll unlock new components and quests for subsequent games, providing endless replayability.

Players will take on the roles of survivors who have the extraordinary ability to upload their minds into digital space and wear various physical shells in the real world. These people are called Tamashii, and their goal is to help wherever possible those who survived the AI attack and resist the endless oppression of the Ascension.

As you explore the carefully crafted world of Tamashia, you will encounter hostile AIs as well as human survivors who are not always willing to cooperate with you. Will you be able to overcome the challenges and survive in this ruthless world? Play the game and find out!

This is a scenario-based game that can be played in any order you choose - each Scenario has its own independent story set in the world of Tamashia and its own unique victory conditions. Scenarios begin with an introduction and end with a Victory or Defeat card. The Scenarios also contain clues to the overall plot of the game, and after completing all the main Scenarios, you will gain access to the final one, which summarizes the entire story. But that`s not all. There is a lot of additional content in the game that you can unlock, and each Scenario has different paths you can take. If you want to see all the possible places, jump into all the possible Bodies, and learn all the possible stories, you will definitely want to play through each Scenario more than once.

PREPARATION FOR THE GAME

Preparation for the game is divided into 2 stages. The first is the preparation of all the basic components that are used in almost every game. The second stage depends on the Scenario and is described in the "Preparation" section of the Scenario sheet.

PREPARATION OF THE SCENARIO

Choose one of the available scenarios – The result and description on the personal side of the Scenario sheet should help you uncover and give you a clue as to what to expect in each story. Each Scenario has a different setup, but for the most part the steps are very similar and individual, with the following steps:
– Prepare the Map
– Prepare the Enemy Deck
– Build a supply of Corrupted Data
– Prepare the Faction Reinforcement Decks
– Place Characters on the Map
– Prepare the Scenario Cards

GAME PROCESS

To achieve the goal of the game, players use different bodies and their computing power to destroy enemy AI bots and program powerful Data Templates. Each turn, players go through 4 phases.

During the Planning Phase, players check if their AI Bot Track has been found, fill their Launch panels, program the available Data Templates, and Update themselves.

Then, during the Action Phase, they move around the map, use the effects of the Area tiles, and most importantly, launch pre-prepared Templates to acquire Assets, hack Enemy Bots, use powerful Body Boosts, and more.

After that comes the Combat Phase, during which players fight the AI. This is quite dangerous, as Tamashii can be injured in these battles. However, if the body is too damaged, Tamashii`s mind can escape back into the network and inhabit another body to continue to cause problems for the powerful AI, Ascending.

Finally, after the first 3 phases, it`s time for the Quest Phase, which tracks the players` progress towards their current goals. During this phase, the game progresses and rewards players for completing tasks, punishes for being late, applies special Enemy actions, and more.

ENDING THE GAME

Each Scenario ends when you draw a "Victory!" or "Defeat" card.

Once you have drawn such a card, apply its effects. This is usually how you will unlock new components. In this case, take the listed components from the Locked Stock in the box and place them in the Unlocked Stock. Additional unlocked components may appear in future games.
Sometimes it`s the other way around - the map will tell you to move certain components from the Unlocked Stock to the Locked Stock.
If you win, you should also mark the corresponding code on your Progress Sheet. This sheet will serve as a reference and will allow you to keep track of which Scenarios you have already completed. Keep in mind that a larger Scenario has more than 1 ending, and the components you need to unlock often differ depending on the story variant you have completed.
