Board Game Super Boss-monster
This is an updated and improved version of the hit card game about building dungeons. In it, you will also have to play the role of sinister bosses who create intricate labyrinths filled with numerous treasures and deadly traps to attract greedy people and capture their souls. However, remember - you are not the only dark lord in these lands. Your opponents are not asleep, so sometimes you will have to resort to cunning tricks: intercept a few souls or make a noise in their possessions with the help of your favorite spells. This game is fully compatible with previous games and expansions, offering even more opportunities for diabolical plans!
How to play
Let`s start with the innovations: Before starting the game, you need to prepare a double-sided city playing field consisting of a hero zone and a market (the back side of the field will be needed for solo mode, and the paper expander will come in handy when playing with an addition for 5-6 players). Next, you need to give each participant a figure with a pawn and a base-stand, as well as place health tokens, a spell deck, and a stack of room cards corresponding to the number of players next to the field. Everyone receives 5 room cards and 2 spell cards. After choosing their bosses, all participants decide which card from their hand will become the first room of their dungeon, and place it face down to the left of the boss card. Then, players simultaneously "reveal" their rooms and play their effects, if any. This completes the preparations and the first turn begins.
The essence of the game is to build your dungeon with storerooms with treasures that adventurers from the city can peck at, and rooms with traps that will cause damage to them. The heroes enter your possessions and sequentially go through all the rooms. If during this campaign the adventurer runs out of health, you get his soul, and if he reaches the boss`s chambers - he inflicts wounds on your lord.
The goal of the game - collect 10 souls before your opponents.
Each turn consists of a sequence of phases:
- City Phase. At the beginning of the turn, you need to fill the market on the playing field with room and spell cards, and also place heroes in the city cells. There are 5 iconic locations in the city, where heroes move when there are no free cells left. Each iconic location has places to place spies. In this phase, everyone also takes 1 card from the market and places their spies.
- Building Phase. Everyone can build 1 room in their dungeon, and also cast spells on themselves or their opponent.
- Spies Phase. A spies activates bonuses in iconic locations or dungeons. If the landmark location is not occupied by a hero, the footman can activate bonus actions, and when the adventurer is already there, the footman can be used to send him to any dungeon along with a bonus health token.
- Lure Phase. The heroes in the city move to the entrance to the dungeon with the most treasure symbols that match the jewel icons on the character card.
- Adventure Phase. The heroes walk through the dungeon and suffer wounds from traps. Spells can also be cast during this phase.
- End of turn.The first player`s marker is passed clockwise, the footmen return to their bases, and a new turn begins.
