Board Game Sonic - Super Teams

In the game, you can assemble your own team of your favorite characters from the cult American animated series based on the video game series from Sonic Team, released back in 1991. This is a strategic race where the first to cross the finish line in the Green Hills wins.

Super teams at the start

Choose your cards carefully and watch out for other runners, it is quite possible that they are preparing sabotage against you. Move quickly, slow down your opponents, overcome obstacles and chase bonuses.

Gameplay

1. Each player receives 2 characters, which they place at the start, a team card and 6 movement cards.
2. The active player plays a movement card, which indicates the number of steps. The character that matches the color of the card played moves. So, you won`t always move your pieces. It can often be beneficial to move your opponent as well.
3. A bonus square gives the player a card of the corresponding color, these are various "buns".
4. A double square gives a choice - the character can stop on one of two areas. This can be regular grass, a bonus, a bridge, or obstacles.
5. To win, you need to get all the characters of your team across the finish line.

When all players have used their 6 cards, deal 6 more cards to each player. When the deck runs out, shuffle the used cards and deal 6 cards to each player again. If all the characters of a certain color have already crossed the finish line, cards of this color can still be laid out. Now they affect characters of a different color on the same team (when playing with two or four players).

Rings, spikes, loops

• Rings speed up the hero - the next movement card is doubled.
• Spikes slow down - the next movement card is equal to «1».
• A loop returns the hero back to the nearest regular cell. The loop can only be skipped with a high value on the movement card.

Team play

If there are four of you, you play in two teams of 2 players each. When drawing a movement card, you can always bring a companion, which will be useful to both of you. The game also has bonus cards that can be played on your turn, or on the turn of a teammate. Among the bonuses - a shield from spikes, a super jump and others.

Every man for himself

If there are two of you - each plays for 2 teams of 2 heroes each. If there are three of you - each plays for only 1 team (extra characters, team cards and movement cards are returned to the box).
