The Return of Claire Harper
Suspects is a co-op (or solo) detective game that invites players to investigate mysterious cases with vivid characters and rich plots inspired by Agatha Christie`s classic detective stories. You will play as Claire Harper, a young detective who solves complicated crimes in different parts of the world.
During the game you will read the evidence cards, discuss the information received, make assumptions and certain conclusions. Your goal is to score as many points as possible by answering the questions correctly.
"Suspects 2 - The Restless Researcher Claire Harper" is the second part of the series, which will take participants to different periods of the detective`s life. It contains three cases - "Shakespeare`s Tears", "Delivered by the Dead" and "The Mystery of the Lady of the Lake". Who is Claire Harper?
Claire Harper, the game`s fictional protagonist, was one of the first women to receive an Oxford education. She was born in 1910. An avid reader of Agatha Christie detective stories, a traveler and a true Brit with her five o`clock tea. Clare was educated at Oxford University after quotas for female students were introduced in 1927. This became the key to realizing her dreams of following her father`s example and getting a degree in criminal law. Now Claire Harper prevents, detects and investigates crimes. No matter is too confusing or difficult for her brilliant mind. Claire Harper is not just a detective. She is the best in this business.
Game layout overview
Choose the case you want to investigate and unbox and prepare the relevant components. At the beginning of the game, read the preface. After the preface, you will be asked to read the case questions. After that you will start the investigation.
You will be instructed to take evidence cards and review certain documents. Throughout the game, you will see different symbols corresponding to certain actions that can be performed.
The sooner you answer, the more points you will get. You can always change your answers as you get more information. Once you have agreed on the answers to the questions, you can open the solution envelope, read the answers and calculate your points.
