Board Game Habitats

A tile-laying family game about creating a wildlife park. This is a simple and short game that will appeal to both children and adults.

Before you is an edition that boasts a built-in organizer and a convenient gift-style box with updated art. The inside of this beautiful tin box depicts a track for counting points and places for task tiles.

Manage a nature reserve

The participants of the game will be engaged in the construction of wildlife parks. They will expand their reserves with landscape tiles, select suitable flora for various representatives of the fauna, lay tourist routes and build observation decks. By completing the goals of the seasons, players will receive victory points. At the end of the game, they will also receive points for the park tiles that meet the requirements.

Before the game begins, three random task tiles are laid out on the field. Players place the starting park entrance tiles in front of them. A market is formed from the park tiles, and the players` jeeps are placed on opposite sides of this market.

Gameplay

The game lasts three seasons. In each season, participants make a certain number of moves (depending on the number of players).

A player`s move consists of four stages:

1. Getting a park tile

A player can take a park tile located in front, to the right or to the left of his jeep.

2. Moving the jeep

The jeep drives into the location of the received tile. The trunk turns in the direction from which the jeep arrived.

3. Adding a tile to the market

A new park tile is placed in the space vacated by the jeep.

4. Adding a tile to the park

The resulting tile is placed in the player`s park - next to any plot so that it does not block the road.

End of the season and end of the game

The season ends when the players have made enough moves. An intermediate score calculation occurs. Participants compare who among them coped better with the current task. Points are awarded for first, second and third place. The winners advance their chips along the track by the specified number of divisions.

Players receive points for the largest regions (adjacent areas of the same type of terrain), different types of landscape, diversity of flora, the longest alleys, the shortest distances to the road, to the entrance to the park, etc.

After the third season, players receive additional points:

• for animals, if the required landscape types are nearby;
• 1 point for each flower;
• for observation towers, if there are flowers or animals in the field of view;
• for tourists, if there are tiles of the required type in the park;
• for roads, if they are surrounded by sections of the park.

The player with the most points wins.
