THEATRE OF INVESTIGATIVE ACTIONS
A fast-paced detective logic game with hidden roles and evidence. The game continues the tradition of the films «Noir» - it is a cool detective in a cynical and pessimistic atmosphere, which became a consequence of the Second World War. The noir genre is not friends with colors, it has only black and white.
The various game scenarios are built on common mechanics — suspects are hidden among the grid of cards, including the player characters. Their survival will depend on the right actions — moving, disguising, justifying, etc. Thanks to the wide variety of cards, modes, and fairly short games, each of them will be unique and dynamic.
The black box contains 50 suspect/evidence cards, as well as clue cards for different roles and tokens.
KILLER VS. INVESTIGATOR
This is a duel game mode in which the inspector and the bandit try to get to each other. A square of suspect cards is formed on the table - five by five. The corresponding evidence cards are mixed into a deck. The inspector and the bandit take one card from the deck - these are their secret identities. The inspector must catch the bandit, and the bandit must kill the inspector or 14 townspeople.
On their turn, players perform one action. The bandit can:
The inspector can accuse a neighboring character, shift the row, update the field, or acquit the selected character by placing the corresponding evidence card on it. The inspector and the bandit can conduct interrogations. The inspector interrogates the acquitted character, and the bandit - when he kills the acquitted character. Depending on who is interrogating, the opponent must answer whether he is next to the interrogated person.
KILLER VS DETECTIVE
In this duel mode, the killer kills people on a list, and the detective tries to catch him. They start on a five-by-five square field. The killer takes four unfortunate cards from the evidence deck - he must kill them. The players` actions are the same as in the previous mode, only the killer cannot interrogate.
SPY QUEEN
This mode is designed for a large number of participants. Spy players catch other spies and receive evidence cards as trophies for this. At the beginning of the game, all participants receive one secret role card from the deck. Players take turns. On their turn, they can move or update the board, interrogate a neighboring character, or try to catch a spy. When deciding to catch a spy, the current player chooses a character in the neighborhood. If he is a spy, the player takes his card from his opponent as a trophy, and the opponent receives a new role card from the evidence deck. The first player to collect a certain number of trophies wins.
OTHER MODES
In other modes, a thief tries to rob the townspeople (dueling), the SBI catches mafiosi who kill the townspeople (6 or 8 players), and robbers try to rob a casino guarded by one player (5-7 players).
