FANTASY COOPERATIVE FROM UKRAINIAN DEVELOPERS
This is a cooperative from domestic developers. The game takes place in a forest world that is suffering from the attacks of the terrible Manticore. This terrible monster, a winged lion with a scorpion tail, has already destroyed the city, but did not stop there, continuing to terrorize the entire district. It all ended with one great magician giving his life to put the Manticore to sleep at least for a while. Now a team of brave heroes needs to quickly get to the cave where the Manticore is sleeping and finish off the cursed monster.
GAME MODES
Participants are offered two game modes. In the classic team mode, players will fight against the Manticore together, and in the pop-team mode they will strive to finish off the monster alone. In the first case, the players win together if they destroy the Manticore, and in the second case - only one player. The players are defeated when the awakened Manticore appears in the city. If all the heroes die, then it is clear to everyone that there is nothing to catch anymore.
CHOOSING HEROES
Before the start of the game, the players lay out the artifacts in the locations and choose characters - a magician, a warrior, an elf or a dwarf. The selected heroes have different basic characteristics. The indicators can be strengthened with artifacts and power points during the game. The characters start in the city.
LAYING ROADS
The first stage of the game is preparatory - players take turns taking closed road tokens, turning them over and placing them on the field, connecting them with the city or previously laid out roads. If a monster is depicted on the token, its token is placed on the field. Players must connect as many locations as possible with roads and make it difficult for monsters to advance into the city.
HERO`S MOVE
A game round consists of several consecutive phases. In the first phase of the round, heroes move, using initiative points. The hero can restore hit points, engage in combat, move to a hex free of other tokens along the way, spend three initiative points and move off-road, obtain an artifact or spell in a location, transfer an artifact to another character, or discard an unnecessary item.
BATTLES
The player can fight an opponent in close combat, shoot from a bow, or attack with magic. In any combat, opponents roll dice and add the values rolled up with the indicators of the corresponding abilities and bonuses from artifacts/spells. The losing side receives damage equal to the difference in strength. For defeating a monster, the hero receives power points, which he immediately spends on improving characteristics.
MONSTER MOVE
In this phase, all ordinary monsters move along the roads - one hex towards the city. Being at a distance of two hexes from the location, they take an artifact or spell from it. Aggressive monsters approach the city one hex, ignoring the roads. Ordinary monsters attack heroes standing in their way, and aggressive ones - characters on neighboring hexes. Breaking into the city, the monster deals damage to all heroes equal to its level.
MANTICORA MOVE
After the death of the first monster, the Manticore awakens. It also wakes up if a hero reaches the hex near the cave or attacks it. The Manticore moves through hexes with fire arrows, destroying other monsters in its path. If a hero is in front of it, the Manticore attacks him. When the Manticore reaches the city, the heroes are considered defeated.
