A hungry dragon roams the area. Plan your actions carefully to avoid getting in the dragon`s way, summon a fairy for protection, or use a magical portal to return what was lost.
This is a great addition to the popular tile-laying strategy game «Carcassonne». Contains new terrain squares with monasteries in the city, tunnels (a road under the city), volcanoes, portals, dragon and princess symbols. Also included are dragon and fairy figurines.
The addition expands the strategic toolset and increases replayability. The base game becomes deeper and more diverse. Players are offered new opportunities to achieve victory.
New rules: dragon flight, fairy protection, portals and princess in the city
- When a volcano tile is placed, a dragon token is moved onto it.
- When a dragon tile is placed, the dragon begins its flight. Players take turns moving the dragon from the current volcano to one adjacent tile horizontally or vertically. The dragon always moves 6 tiles. The dragon must fly along a unique route without visiting tiles again. It cannot move onto a fairy tile. If the dragon appears on a tile with player tokens, it eats them (the tokens are returned to the owner`s supply).
- If a player attaches a tile with a princess symbol to a city, he expels any meeples-knights from that city (the token is returned to the owner).
- If a player places a tile with a portal, he can place his token either on that tile or on another free tile with an unfinished object.
- Instead of placing a token on his turn, a player can move a fairy token to any tile with a token of his subject. The fairy protects the subjects from the dragon. She brings 1 point at the beginning of the turn and three points for a completed object at the end of the game.
