Board Game Hungry Monkey

An exciting card filler in which players compete to get rid of their cards. This is an advanced version of the famous «Uno» with a wonderful design and interesting gameplay. The game is suitable for both family gatherings and game nights with friends.

Beans for the Monkey

This game is about how a monkey wanted to have breakfast, but lost beans in the jungle. Fortunately, other animals - a small ant, a clever sparrow, a royal tiger and others - helped the monkey find the lost item. Experienced players can play a tournament version of 4 games, receiving beans cards as a reward. At the end of the tournament, the player with the most beans on their cards wins.

Gameplay

In a standard game, each player receives 3 animal cards in their hand and 4 animal cards in a row in front of them. The cards in the rows are face down and can only be seen with the help of an effect. 

To win the game, you must be the first to lay out all the cards from your hand and from the row in front of you. Players take turns adding cards to the animal pile.

On their turn, a player:

1. Plays one or more animal cards.
2. Plays a large pack or applies an effect to the top card that is played.
3. Takes cards to have at least 3 cards in their hand.

When playing cards, a player may:

• Play any number of same matching cards – cards with the same or higher value than the top card in the pile. 
• Take the top card from the face-down deck. 
• Play a card from the row if there are no cards in the hand and the deck is empty.

If a player plays an unsuitable card (when taking a random card from the deck or a face-down card from the row), he takes the entire pile of animals into his hand.

Animal effects and large pack

The player applies the effect of only the top card added to the pile. If he lays out a large pack of 4 or more cards, he discards the entire stack without applying the effect, draws cards to have at least 3 cards in his hand, and takes another turn.

Card effects:

• Small Ant (1). If you lay an Ant card on top of another Ant card, nothing happens. Otherwise, the player takes the entire stack into his hand, except for the Ant cards laid out.
• Sly Sparrow (2). Allows you to look at one card in a row and exchange it for one of the cards in your hand.
• Cunning Snake (3). Allows you to look at one of the cards in any player`s row.
• Nifty Mongoose (7). Gives an extra turn.
• Strong Buffalo (8). The next player must play a card of the same or lower value.
• Royal Tiger (11). The entire deck must be discarded.
• Hungry Monkey. The Hungry Monkey card is always suitable. The monkey copies a neighboring animal card. If the animal card the monkey is copying is below it, the monkey also allows the effect of this card to be applied.
