This is a stunningly updated and completely remastered edition of the original 1986 post-apocalyptic turn-based racing classic.
As you blast through thick armor with a large-caliber gun, tear rusty metal to shreds, and crush the bones and skulls of overconfident fools, you`ll be vying for the title of the most dangerous scum in the entire county.
Preparing to Play
Start by laying out three road tiles: a starting one and two random ones from the pile. Place the threat tiles on specific sections of the road. Give each player a set of three wheelbarrows, five dice, a helicopter, and several player boards to keep track of the dice`s destination. Have each player roll all of their dice, and the player with the lowest roll gets to roll the road die and go first.
How to Play
On their turn, a player assigns a die to one of their three carts - this will determine how far it will travel. Once per round, you can optionally assign a die to an action on the command board.
Actions include:
After or instead of performing an action from the play area, the active car moves along the track. If it crashes into another car – the fun begins! During a collision, the active car is placed on top of the car it crashed into, and the current player rolls a collision die, which determines which car will be affected (top or bottom), and a direction die, which indicates the direction in which the affected car will be thrown. After the roll, the one whose vehicle has larger dimensions has the right to roll the dice.
If, as a result of the impact, one of the cars hits an insurmountable obstacle, it explodes and is permanently out of the game. If it is thrown outside the board - it explodes. If it gets under someone else`s helicopter (even under your own), it also explodes. When the thrown car crashes into another car, the collision process is repeated. Very often, one car throws another into a pile of other vehicles, creating complete chaos! In addition, do not forget about the threat tiles that any car can activate. This can be a regular road tile, burnt car wreckage, or mines.
After moving, the active car or helicopter can fire at an object in front of it by rolling a shooting die and determining whether it hit a target of the required size (larger cars are easier to hit). If it does, the hit car takes a damage token from the stack and performs its effects, which can destroy or disable the car.
The turn then passes to the left, and the mayhem continues. After all players have used their dice, the round ends. All dice are rolled again, and the lowest total score determines the new player who will go first.
If at any time a player`s car crosses the far edge of the track, a new tile is added to continue the road. The piece of road furthest from the newly added board is removed, and any cars remaining on it are eliminated. When all of a player`s vehicles are destroyed, they are eliminated, and a finish line tile is added to the track at the end. If a player crosses this line, they instantly win. If any player is the only one left with surviving cars, they also win.
