Board Game Dune - Imperium. Immortality
This is an add-on to the epic board game "Dune - Imperium".
The power of your agents grows in proportion to the strengthening of shadowy ties with the Bene Tleilaxu faction. You will unlock the full potential of scientific research and experiments with genetic samples.
Immortality – Genetic Innovations
Players have the opportunity to:
- regenerate damaged tissues and organs
- carry out genetic manipulations - graft one card to another for a double benefit
- hire face-dancing spies or bring agents back to life as Gholas
Features of the Bene Tleilaxu field
When playing with this expansion, at the beginning of the game, participants place an additional Bene Tleilaxu field on the table and replace two cards with the "Dune, a desert planet" with two "Experimentation" cards.
Every time a participant activates the experiment symbol (microscope), which is also on the "Experimentation" cards, he moves his token on the Bene Tleilaxu field to the right in one of the available ways.
You can never move the token up or down, the movement is always only to the right.
When moving the token across the field, you will not only receive one-time bonuses from the cells on which your token stops, but also get closer to the genetic markers.
Genetic markers will have permanent effects:
- Effects on cards - some cards activate additional effects for reaching one or two genetic markers on the field.
- One genetic marker will allow you to place the purchased Bene Tleilaxu cards from the top of your deck instead of discarding.
- Two genetic markersare the border of the field. From now on, each time you activate the experiment symbol, you do not advance a token, but draw a card.
In addition, the Bene Tleilaxu field has a Tleilaxu track, which you will move forward along each time you activate the Tleilaxu symbol (scarab). In addition to the one-time bonuses on track divisions, reaching the last division on a track will allow you to gain 1 VP each time you activate a Tleilaxu symbol.
Special Tleilaxu Cards
Tleilaxu cards are similar to regular Imperium cards, but you will have to pay for them with patterns instead of Persuasion Points.
Patterns are created by certain spaces on the Tleilaxu board that have the corresponding symbol. When your token lands on a space with a pattern symbol, immediately place one squad die from your supply in the Axolotl Tanks space on the Tleilaxu board. This space has no maximum number of patterns. If you need to spend a sample to purchase a card or activate a card effect, return the appropriate number of cubes from the reservoirs to your supply.
Here are three main things you need to know about Tleilaxu cards:
- Normal cards from the Tleilaxu line - you buy them for samples and send them to your discard pile, unless you have reached the last division on the Tleilaxu field.
- Regenerated Power cards - are never sent to the player decks, and instead you can only pay the appropriate number of samples to activate an effect from them.
- Grafting - a special property of new cards, thanks to which you can combine two cards. If you decide to play a card with the grafting property, you must play two and only two cards that turn (the second card does not necessarily have to have the grafting property as well). You can send an agent to a location according to the agent symbol of either card, but it will be considered as if you "sent" the agent with both played cards. You apply the effects of both cards, as well as the effects of the locations, in any order. In addition, some cards may have enhanced effects if they are grafted to another card, which will affect your strategies.
The expansion does not complicate the base game, but on the contrary, speeds it up and makes it more dynamic and variable thanks to powerful card combinations. We strongly recommend this expansion to all fans of the base.
