Remember how cute sheep grazing in a meadow look when you watch them, say, from the train window. They are so friendly, eat grass and bleat in your direction. But is everything as peaceful as it seems at first glance?! Of course not! In fact, the sheep are divided into herds, and a real war is going on between the herds for the pasture territory. A beautiful game will reveal to us the details of these confrontations and offer to take direct part in them.
The board game has very simple rules that even the smallest participants in the game will understand. However, behind the simple rules lies a complex strategy. To win the game, participants need to calculate their moves in advance, predict the actions of their opponents, etc. Nevertheless, Fighting Sheep — is a wonderful family game that will bring together both children and their parents at one table. It is also very bright, beautiful and high-quality, you can safely consider it as a game for a gift.
BEFORE THE GAME
The participants of the game will play the role of shepherds, each of whom receives 16 sheep tokens from his herd (of his own color), as well as four pasture elements, each of which is divided into hexagonal tiles.
BUILDING THE PASTURE
Players take turns laying out one pasture element on the table until they form the entire meadow. Each pasture element must adjoin at least one side to the already placed field.
When the pasture is formed, the players place their flock of sheep on it. They must place the entire stack of sheep tokens on any hexagon located along the perimeter of the common field.
HOW TO PLAY
Players take turns. On their turn, the player removes half of the sheep tokens from one of their stacks (on the very first turn — this is the only starting stack of sheep) and moves them in a straight line in any available direction of the pasture.
They move either to the pasture border or to another sheep`s token, where they leave their sheep. Attention! A player can move sheep tokens only if at least one sheep remains in the starting position. Also, moving blocked sheep is prohibited.
OBJECTIVE OF THE GAME
Each player will try to place as many of their sheep as possible on the pasture. When none of the players can move (all moves are blocked), the game ends. The participants count the pastures (hexagons with their sheep - whoever has more of them wins. In case of equality of occupied pastures, the player with the maximum number of occupied hexagons located in the neighborhood wins.
