Board Game Aqua Fest

A fast-paced logic game for the whole family. Players are invited to dive into the depths of the sea and take part in the seashell festival. The game boasts beautiful design, simple rules and exciting gameplay. It will appeal to all family members, regardless of age or gaming experience.

Underwater Seashell Festival

At the beginning of the game, the seabed tiles are shuffled. In the first tier, they are laid out face down - in a 5 by 5 square. In the second tier, they are also laid out face up in a 5 by 5 square. The sea creature cards are shuffled into one deck, and players receive 5 cards from it. Players take starting tiles and additional point tokens - the first player with one starfish, the second with two stars, etc. They attach the starting tiles to the sides of the square closest to them and place their color chips on them.

Gameplay

The players take turns. On their turn, a player can perform one of two possible actions:

• Take two cards from the deck into their hand. They can also return their chip to the starting tile.
• Move along the seabed. The player plays a sea creature card from their hand and moves the chip according to the instructions on the card. They cannot stop on a coral tile or a tile occupied by another player`s chip. The player takes the tile with the shell fragment on which they stopped. They can stop on an empty space, but then they do not get a tile. The player can play another sea creature card of the same type and move again. When a player`s chip leaves a closed tile of the first tier, it turns face up.

Battles with opponents

If there is an opponent`s chip on an adjacent tile (orthogonally or diagonally), the player can attack it. Chips on starting tiles cannot be attacked. During the battle, players select one card from their hand and reveal them at the same time. The sea creature with the greater strength wins. The winner takes one random shell fragment tile from the loser. The loser`s chip returns to his starting tile. If the forces are equal, nothing happens. The cards are discarded in any case.

End of the game

Play until there are no tiles left on the field. Players build whole shells - four shard tiles each - and then count the points:

• A regular shell gives as many points as there are stars on its fragments;
• A rare shell gives as many points as there are stars on its fragments + 2 extra points for the shape;
• A unique shell gives as many points as there are stars on its fragments + 2 extra points for the shape + 3 for a whole pearl.

The points from the extra points tokens are added to the points scored. The player with the most points wins.
