Board Game Break the Code
This is a great opportunity to stretch your muscles and spend only half an hour on one game.
What do the tiles hide?
Everything revolves around the tiles, of which there are 20 in the game. They depict numbers in three colors with a face value from 0 to 9.
At the beginning of the game, each player receives a screen, a piece of paper from a special notebook and 5 or 4 (for 4 players) random tiles, which the participants lay out behind their screen in ascending order of value from left to right. In the center of the table, the remaining tiles (for 3 and 4 players) and a deck of question cards are laid out, 6 of which are revealed.
Although the game can be played by 2 to 4 people, the rules of the duel game will differ significantly. If you are playing with two players, you will need to correctly name your opponent`s code: the order, numbers and color of the tiles behind his screen. If there are 3 or 4 players in the game, they will need to guess the tiles that are left face up in the center of the table.
Gameplay
A player`s move will include only one of two actions:
- either ask one of the six questions currently available to the opponent or opponents and write down the information received;
- or try to guess the opponent`s code (two-player game) / the code in the center of the table (three-player or four-player game).
It doesn`t matter whether you guess the code or not, all players must make the same number of moves. If several players can name the correct combination, a draw is declared.
Too strict code
Possible options when there are no winners in the game at all:
- if all players named the wrong combination of numbers;
- if the deck of questions has run out, and there is nothing more to ask.
Well. Not all ciphers have to be broken. Maybe that`s for the best…
