Board Game TOADgeon
Locals in a small settlement whisper about strange sounds coming from the depths through an open well. It leads to a network of underground tunnels, lined with slippery stone and illuminated by the dim light of bioluminescent mushrooms. The air is damp and heavy, and croaking sounds are heard from the dark depths...
This is an asymmetrical dueling board game in a fantasy setting, in which players will fight for the treasures of the dungeons.
How to play
Players choose their factions: green and red. Each faction has its own unique features:
Reds are focused on interacting with cards from the discard pile.
Greens — with placing creatures in the dungeon rooms.
The player`s goal — capture and explore more dungeons than his opponent.
The dungeon in this game is very special and unlike any other. Each of the twelve rooms of the dungeon is unique and has its own secret and history. For example, one room has magic traps, another is quite cramped and small.
At the beginning of the round, the dungeon map determines the placement of the player characters and is taken into account at the end of the game in case of a draw. Here are some examples of rooms:
- The Waiting Room helps the team of heroes. To win in this room, you need to place your army and provide support from allies.
- In the Goblin Steam Room, all heroes have equal power, regardless of status. The monsters in this room act with advantage.
The characters in the game are also incredibly colorful, each with their own character and skills, which can be guessed by their appearance:
- Frog— a creature that destroys the heroes` plans, or helps them (depending on whose side it takes). Its other name is — Destroyer of Plans.
- Commander is determined and fearless, inspires and supports the heroes` fighting spirit, changes the position of forces on the playing field.
