Mages Enter the Arena

This is an add-on to the popular adventure strategy game «The Witcher. Old World». The add-on contains five new playable characters - mages - and corresponding components, as well as components for combining this add-on with any other add-ons. In one game, any number of players (even all) can choose mages. Use new cards to learn powerful spells and build a deck that will allow you to emerge victorious from the most dangerous battles. Hunt monsters and collect ingredients needed for various potions. Gain fame and improve your reputation. Perform feats that witchers never dreamed of!

Wisdom and Energy

Like witchers, mages have the skills of attack, alchemy, and specialization. But instead of defense, mages have wisdom. Mages do not have a shield level, but instead gain and spend energy.

Most mages` action cards have an energy expenditure symbol. This means that you can spend energy to additionally activate the card`s strengthening effect.

New card types

The colors of mages` action cards symbolize spells of different directions: yellow - air, blue - water, green - earth, red - fire, purple - consciousness.

Since mages do not have the usual shields of witchers, they discard cards due to damage suffered in battle, but instead mages can protect themselves with magic shields. The created magic shields will allow you to protect yourself from damage only during the opponent`s next combat turn.

New symbols on mages` cards allow you to return cards from the discard pile to your hand, increase your energy level, and also deal damage, create magic shields, and allow you to draw cards according to your energy level.
