This is a standalone release of the "Unmatched" series. This is a completely independent expansion. The heroes of this expansion can be pitted against heroes from any other sets. The set features Little Red Riding Hood and Beowulf.
Little Red Riding Hood vs. Beowulf
In the box you will find figurines, assistant tokens, and decks of the following heroes:
- Little Red Riding Hood. A little girl from a famous fairy tale. She was in the belly of a monster, but dared to return to the forest with the hunter to finish her terrible tale. They say that several more eerie secrets are hidden in her basket.
- Beowulf. A true king of war who defeated Grendel himself. Together with his relative Wiglaf, he sets out on his final mortal combat.
Game innovations
- Little Red Riding Hood`s Basket. The top card of Little Red Riding Hood`s discard pile is called the "basket". The symbol depicted on this card - knives, leather, wolf root - is the current contents of the basket. If a "joker" is depicted, you can choose any item. The effects of many cards depend on the item in the basket.
- Beowulf`s Rage. When Beowulf or Wiglaf are wounded, they gain Rage. Rage can be spent according to the instructions on the Beowulf cards.
- Doors. Doors between cells block the path, cancel adjacency and separate zones. During the turn, any fighters can close (for free) and open (for 1 movement point) any number of adjacent doors.
Game flow
The basic rules of Unmatched have not changed. To win, you need to reset the opponent`s hero`s life to zero. Players take turns. On their turn, a player performs any two actions - maneuver (take a card to your hand and move your fighters), dodge (play a dodge card) and/or attack (attack an enemy fighter, opponents choose attack and defense cards).
