Board Game Get on Board - New York & London

A fast-paced logic game about laying bus routes. This is a 2021 remake of the Japanese transport filler "Let`s Make a Bus Route", released in 2018.

This is a more modern, compact and dynamic competitor to the game "Ticket to Ride". The game is ideal for family or friendly gatherings and will appeal to all participants, regardless of age or gaming experience.

Bus Ticket

The board game offers participants to become bus drivers in London or New York. Over 12 rounds, players will try to lay the optimal bus route. At the beginning of each round, a map is opened that determines the shape of the route for all players. Players place their route markers on the playing field, trying to avoid traffic jams, pick up passengers, visit attractions, complete general and personal goals, and then earn victory points for all this.

Game progress

The game lasts 12 rounds. Each round consists of 4 phases:

1. New bus ticket

The first player (the controller) reveals the top card from the bus ticket deck. The route shape is indicated on this card.

2. Route layout

Each player continues their route according to the shape indicated on the card. The controller goes first, then the other players go clockwise. The active player places his markers on the road sections, continuing from where he left off in the previous round. He must place the specified number of markers and create the specified number of turns.

• Circular movement is prohibited. It is not possible to lay a route (place his marker) a second time on the same road section. If a player reaches the same intersection again, he is out of the game. To avoid this, the player can increase or decrease the specified number of turns by crossing out a cell in the turns section of his sheet.
• Traffic jams. If there are other players` markers on the road section, the player crosses out the corresponding number of buses in the traffic jams section of his sheet.
• Green light. After completing the route at an intersection with a green traffic light, the player can place an additional marker.
• Places and passengers. For passengers taken and attractions visited, the player crosses out cells on his sheet and applies various effects.

3. Checking common goals

If one or more players have fulfilled the condition on the common goal card, they all score 10 points, after which the card is turned over. Players will then receive 6 points each for fulfilling the condition on this card.

4. Controller Change

The next player in clockwise order becomes the controller (the first player).

Scoring Points

After the 12th round, players start scoring points. They add up the negative and positive points in the different sections on their sheets and check the conditions on their personal goal cards. The player with the most points wins.
