Board Game Sweet & Spicy - Battle of the Cats

A fast bluff card game, a mix of the famous «Uno» and «Believe-not-Believe». If you are looking for a simple but exciting game for family gatherings or a party with friends, then we recommend buying this game.

This is a redesigned version of the wonderful game «Spicy - Hellish Spices» with universal spice cards. This is a standalone game. Universal cards from this game can be used in «Spicy - Hellish Spices».

Believe-not-Believe Game. Fierce Battle of the Cats

In this game, participants try to get rid of the cards in their hand as quickly as possible. The game uses spice cards of three suits - chili, lemon and pepper - with values ​​from «1» to «10», as well as joker cards that replace any suit or any value.

Game progress

Players take turns, clockwise, until someone decides to check the top card in the pile. The active player puts a card from his hand into the pile or skips a move. 

• Play a card. The player puts a card into the pile face down and calls out the matching suit and value. He must announce the current suit and a higher value than the previously announced card. If someone announces «10», the value on the next card can be from «1» to «3».
• Skip a move. The player takes 1 card from the deck into his hand.

Any player can always check the top card in the pile. He says that the player who laid out the card lied about the spice or value and reveals the card. If the card holder really lied, the one who checked the card wins. Otherwise, the card holder wins.

• The one who wins the check. This player takes the entire spice pile and places it face down in front of him without looking at the cards.
• The one who loses the check. He takes 2 spice cards into his hand. Then he puts the card into a new spice pile, naming the current spice suit and value.

Trophies and the end of the game

If a player puts the last card from his hand, and no one checks his card or this player wins the check, then he gets a trophy card. The game ends if:

• one player has received 2 trophies;
• the players have taken all 3 trophies;
• the players have revealed the end of the game card.

If a player has received 2 trophies, he wins immediately. Otherwise, the players count points. Each trophy card - is 10 points, each card won - is 1 point, and each card left in the hand - is minus 1 point. The player with the most points wins.

Universal Cards

At the start of the game, each player also receives 1 universal card in their hand. When playing a universal card, the player names any suitable value of the current suit. The owner of the universal card always wins the check. 

If a player plays a universal card as the last card in their hand, they do not win a trophy. If they lose a check during the game, the player may take a universal card in addition to two penalty cards. At the end of the game, each won universal card brings 5 ​​points, and each universal card remaining in the hand subtracts 5 points.
