Board Game Sherlock - 13 Hostages

The board game takes place in Dubai. A tactical team of special forces tries to prevent a robbery of the Golden Palace jewelry store and free the hostages. But the attackers disappear as if they had fallen underground. How did this happen? How did they manage to escape? Can you figure out where they went and return the stolen jewelry?

A fast-paced pocket detective

This is a popular series of fast-paced detective cooperatives. Each box contains a separate case. This is an interesting detective filler that can be investigated solo, with friends or family members. Gicach guarantees that the game will appeal to both beginners and experienced players.

In the game, you compete in absentia in investigating cases with the legendary detective from Baker Street. Can you do it as well as the brilliant Sherlock Holmes? Or will you just stand there like Inspector Lestrade? The investigation begins with a short introduction that introduces you to the details of the case. Present the necessary evidence and discard the unnecessary, discuss your theories and use the power of deduction to solve the mystery.

Detective System

All games in the series implement the mechanics of the «Q System». After reading the introduction, players receive a certain number of cards in their hand (the number of cards depends on the number of participants). Players cannot show each other the cards in their hand, but they can read aloud the underlined words or the text in the frame with a paper clip.

Players take turns. On their turn, the active player performs one of 2 actions:

• Present evidence. The player selects a card from their hand and places it face down in the center of the table. The information on it is now available to everyone.
• Discard evidence. The player selects a card from their hand and places it face down in the discard pile.

When all the evidence has been laid out or discarded, and the deck is empty, players discuss the available information and think about a likely version of events. However, if at the end of the game there are fewer than 6 cards in the discard pile, the players immediately lose.

The game ends when the players have decided on the final version and answered the questions. For each correct answer, they get 2 points. For each piece of evidence laid out that is not relevant to the case, they lose 1 point. Calculate your score and find out if you managed to wipe the nose of a Scotland Yard policeman or even equal Sherlock himself.
