City of Mysterious Treasures
An unusual family euro game in which instead of dice, meeples are thrown. Players are invited to lead teams of archaeologists and adventurers and go to the excavations of the ancient city of Quetzal. During the game, they will place workers on the field, collect sets of archaeological find cards and send them to the ship. We guarantee that it will be interesting.
Gameplay
The game consists of rounds. Each round is divided into 4 phases:
All players throw their meeples like dice. A standing meeple brings 1 coin. Meeples lying on their dark side become adventurers. Meeples that lie on their light side become archaeologists. Meeples that have fallen on their side can be used in any way.
Starting with the first player, players take turns, clockwise, choosing available locations and placing one or more of their meeples. The locations indicate the required meeple types, location actions, and rewards. There are free locations. Some locations have a placement price, while others use a bidding/auction system, meaning the location is occupied by the one who sends the most meeples there.
Occupied locations are activated, players perform various actions and receive the specified rewards - money, victory points, artifact cards, improvements, etc.
End of the game
The game ends after the 5th round. Players add to the victory points they earn during the game points for:
The player with the most points wins.
