This is one of the most famous tabletop role-playing games in the world in the genre of horror and detective based on the works of the great and terrible G.F. Lovecraft. Since its creation, this tabletop role-playing system has received several corrections and additions to the rules, also known as "edits". Here is a starter kit of the seventh and most recent edition, containing all possible fixes. The ancients are awakening, humanity is on the verge of extinction, and only brave researchers can prevent this terrible catastrophe.

Guard and researchers

One ​​player becomes the Keeper of secret knowledge (host, narrator and arbiter), and the rest become researchers who will jointly try to reveal the secrets of incomprehensible events. Participants create characters with unique characteristics and go on adventures. Unfathomable treats explorers mercilessly, so when playing this system you should be prepared for heavy blows of fate.

Call of Cthulhu uses classless mechanics. "Sense" was added to the standard parameters - an indicator of the researcher`s mental state. The interesting thing about the taco system is the magic system, which uses magic points: as soon as magic points are depleted, the explorer can use his own health to cast spells or effects of magic items. In addition, in the game you will encounter "Loot Rolls", which is literally the embodiment of a test of fortune.

When checking a skill during a challenge, the researcher rolls a ten-sided die. In addition to it, the game uses four-sided, six-sided, as well as eight-, twelve-, and twenty-sided dice.

• The book «Alone with Fire» is an educational solo adventure that does not require a master. During the passage of the plot from this booklet, players and the sentinel himself will be able to get acquainted with the basic mechanics of the game in practice.
