This is a small and interesting economic puzzle with several modes. PlayTale assures that it is perfectly suitable for both solo and cooperative play – with a family or group of friends.

The participants of the game become designers of a modern metropolis. Before the game starts, the cards are shuffled, three cards are laid out from the deck – on the side where the conditions for obtaining victory points are indicated. The first player receives three cards, the others - one each. The top card from the deck is laid out in the construction zone – with the side with sections facing up.

Gameplay

Players take turns. The active player adds one card from his hand to the construction zone, passes the remaining two cards to the next player clockwise and draws one card from the deck.

The cards are placed horizontally and can be rotated 180 degrees. The new card must be adjacent to any previously laid card with at least half of one side. It can also be placed on top of previously laid cards, overlapping one or more sections. It is forbidden to lay a card diagonally and completely cover another card.

Scoring

Play until there are 15 cards in the construction zone. Players receive:

• 1 point for each section in the largest zone of each type – commercial (blue), park (green), industrial (gray), residential (orange);
• 1 penalty point (minus points) for each road. The road is a continuous line, so it is better to build roads as long as possible.
• Points according to the conditions on the cards.

To win the game, you need to score as many points (or more) as the sum of the numbers on the three PC counting cards.

Mini-add-ons

The set includes six mini-add-ons that can be used to diversify the basic game:

• «Ruinosaurus». A giant monster attacks the city, destroying the section cards;
• «Construction Site». In addition to the three scoring cards, a random construction site card is used.
• «Landmarks’. The starting landmark’ card is used. At the end, players receive 1 point for each section adjacent to the landmark.
• «Resort». Beach cards border the city. Beaches can be used to score additional victory points according to some condition cards.
• «Highway». The city is divided into two parts by a highway. Zoning rules prohibit you from crossing this line.
• «Roadworks». The city is severely congested. Make it easier for people to get to work by building new roads.
