Board Game Marvel United
Marvel Comics Family Cooperative
In the game, participants will be able to play as famous superheroes such as Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Wasp and Ant-Man. After assembling a dream team, they will challenge one of the supervillains - the Red Skull, Ultron or the Impersonator (also known as Taskmaster).
Playing cards, players will move their heroes through locations, rescue innocent townspeople, eliminate threats, and destroy bandits and villain henchmen. After completing 2 missions out of 3, players will be able to directly attack the big boss. Players win if they manage to reduce the supervillain`s health to zero.
The Villain`s Move
The villain goes first. He takes his next turn after every third hero card added to the storyline. When the heroes complete 1 mission, the villain comes under pressure - it now goes after every other hero card added to the storyline.
During the villain`s turn, the top card from his sinister plot deck is revealed. It is added to the right of the storyline (or simply placed on the table if it is the first card in the storyline).
- The villain figure moves clockwise to as many locations as indicated on the card. If the villain stopped in a location where there is a threat card with the corresponding symbol, the effect of this card is activated.
- All the effects of "BAT!" are activated. on the villain`s tablet and on the threat cards.
- As many Bandit/Town tokens as indicated on the threat card are added to the villain`s location and two adjacent locations.
- A special effect is played on the threat card (if present).
Usually, heroes will be injured after playing the "BANG!" effect. For each wound received, the player places 1 card from his hand at the bottom of his hero deck. If a player`s hand runs out of cards, the hero is knocked out. The figure is placed on its side and the "BANG!" effect is activated. on the villain`s tablet.
Hero`s move
Players take turns, clockwise. In his turn, the player:
- Takes one card from his personal deck into his hand (or 4 if the hero is knocked out. Then the knocked-out hero figure rises).
- Plays one card from hand, adding it to the right of the storyline.
- Acts according to the symbols at the bottom of the card just laid out and the previous hero card in the row. If there was a sinister design card on the left, it is ignored: only the closest hero card is taken into account.
Actions are performed in any sequence. The player can:
- Move the hero to a nearby location;
- Attack a bandit / henchman / villain in the current location. The bandit is taken out after the first wound. For each wound inflicted on a henchman, 1 health token is removed from his card. If the heroes have completed 2 missions, they can deal damage to the villain by removing health tokens from his tablet.
- You can use a heroic action to save 1 citizen or place a heroic action token on a threat card (to remove a threat, you need to place 3 heroic tokens).
- Joker action allows you to perform any action.
Special effect. If a special effect is indicated on the displayed hero card, the active player can play it.
If there is no threat card in the current location, the player can apply the End of Turn effect specified in the location.
Victory and defeat
Players win if they remove all health tokens from the supervillain`s board.
They lose if:
- the deck of cards of the villain`s sinister plan is exhausted;
- the villain has fulfilled the conditions of the evil goal indicated on his tablet;
- one of the players has run out of cards in his hand and in his deck.
