Board Game Castle Builder
Barons and Baronesses, show the inhabitants of your kingdom how magnificent a fortress you are capable of building to become famous throughout the world.
Game progress
To win, it is enough to get 7 coins. On his turn, the active player:
- either chooses 2 tiles from the supply and puts them in his warehouse (the limit in the warehouse is 7 tiles),
- or places 1 tile from his warehouse or from the market into the zone of his own fortress and moves his meeples along the progress track.
Rules for building a fortress
- The fortress tiles form a solid wall of stone. The inner walls are placed closer to the middle, and the outer ones are placed at the edges.
- The upper tiles of the fortress can be built by leaning on the two lower ones. The number on the tile must be equal to the sum of the two numbers on the tiles located below it. This rule does not apply to foundation tiles or tiles with the symbol ✓.
- When placing a tile, you can increase or decrease its value by 1 by discarding any tile from your stack.
Progress
The number of progress steps depends on the row and the number of rubies on the fortress tokens. For the second row — 2 steps + for each ruby, for the third row — 3 steps + for each ruby, for the fourth row — 4 steps + for each ruby.
Catapults and judgmental ladies
The progress track can bring the player additional rubies, fortress tiles or coins. Coins have special one-time effects that add interactions between players — collapse of your own or someone else`s tile, theft, award for the best in a certain category of fortress builder, or the poorest player, etc.
After several exciting games, you can try new game modes — «Above the Sky» up to 9 coins, «Royal Strategy» with princess and prince tiles, «Peaceful Times» without conflicting effects on coin tokens.
