A themed edition of the popular game «Mafia» with character tokens instead of cards and action cards for an advanced game mode.
Mafia vs. Police
One player becomes the master-leader, the others take secret tokens. Someone will be a policeman, someone a mafioso, and someone an agent. With any number of players, one of them will definitely be an agent.
Game play
Each round consists of 3 phases:
All players close their eyes. The master orders the agent to open their eyes. The agent points to any player, and the master shows him that player`s token. Having received the information, the agent closes his eyes.
The leader orders the mafia to open their eyes. The mafia points their fingers at one of the players with their eyes closed. This player is considered killed, he is eliminated from the game.
All the players open their eyes, the discussion begins. Arguing and debating, they figure out the mafia. The real mafia pretends to be police officers and tries to confuse everyone. Then everyone points to the suspects. The two suspects with the most votes make speeches in their defense. The players vote again. The one who is pointed out by the majority is eliminated from the game.
End of the game
The police and the agent win if all the mafiosi are eliminated. And vice versa: the mafia wins if it manages to eliminate all the enemies.
Advanced game mode
The game uses action cards. At the beginning of the game, the master selects action cards, shows them to the players and tells how they can be used. He shuffles the selected cards together with neutral dummy cards and deals one card to each player. Action cards allow you to escape (remain in the game) after a police meeting or a mafia meeting, recruit a police officer to the mafia, exchange tokens with another player, kill the selected player from around the corner, etc.
