Board Game Throw Throw Burrito
A moving game of dodgeball!
This is not just a game about collecting sets! Before the start of the game, remove everything from the room that can be tripped over or that can be crushed, because the main element of the game is two soft burritos, which the participants will throw at each other, catch, grab forward and arrange real burrito duels. Get ready for crazy fun with the Throw Throw Burrito game from the creators of Explosive Kittens, which is just as fun and action-packed to entertain any company of adults as it is of children.
And when you`re already running and stuffing soft burritos (if you are running and stuffing!).
Preparation for the game
- Remove from the room all unnecessary objects that will prevent the burrito from flying or that the burrito can fly into. We are not kidding!
- Shuffle the deck and deal about 15 sub-face cards to each participant.
- Place your stack of face cards in front of you so that the player to your right can reach it.
- Split the remaining cards into two piles and place them in the middle of the table next to the two burritos within reach of all players.
- All participants draw 5 cards from their piles into their hand.
- Make sure everyone is ready to start the game, start it all together and get ready to throw burritos!
Game progress
During the game, participants will try to collect sets of three identical cards, which at the end of the game will bring them victory points.
All players act at the same time, and there is no turn order in the game. You must always have 5 cards left in your hand, so when you draw a card from your pile, you must also discard a card into the pile of the player to your left. If, after drawing a new card, you have collected a set of three cards, immediately lay it face down in front of you and activate the corresponding effect, and after that draw cards up to five again.
During the game, it may happen that one player`s stack becomes too spread out on the table or runs out, but don`t worry! In this case, simply take one of the community piles from the middle of the table and place it in front of you - it will now be your pile of cards.
If you have too much clutter on your table, take a break and arrange the cards for convenience - no problem!
Different sets of cards will have different effects:
- A set of normal cards will give you 1 victory point at the end of the game.
- A set of pink or green skirmish cards will give you 2 VP at the end of the game, and the opponents to your right and left must immediately grab a burrito and try to hit each other. As soon as one of the opponents is hit, he immediately receives a bruise, which will bring a penalty point at the end of the game.
- A set of orange war cards will give you 2 VP at the end of the game, and all opponents (but not you) at the table must first grab a burrito and try to target any other player (except you, you good luck!). The player who is hit first gets a bruise token.
- A set of brown dueling cardswill also earn you two points. You have to choose two players (you can volunteer yourself!) who take a burrito, stand with their backs to each other and count to three. On each count, they take a step away from each other, and on the count of "three" they turn around and try to aim at the opponent. The hit player gets a bruise token. If necessary, repeat the duel until the winner is determined.
There are some important rules in the burrito throwing battle:
- As soon as the player is hit, the battle ends.
- A hit does not count if the burrito bounced off any other object, wall, table or even another burrito before it.
- While the battle continues, the remaining players put their cards aside. The game will resume after the winner of the battle is determined.
- If you miss, you can run and grab the burrito again to repeat the throw.
- If you catch a burrito thrown by an opponent, that player loses the battle.
As soon as the supply of bruise tokens is exhausted, the counting of victory points continues. The player with the most VP wins the round and receives the "Fear Me" token. After that, form a new deck, return the bruise tokens to the supply and prepare for a new round according to the usual rules. If the winner of the first round also wins the second round, he becomes the winner of the game. But if another participant wins, he arranges a duel with the owner of the "Fear Me" token. The winner of the duel becomes the winner of the game.
