Animals Prepare for the Spring Festival

As soon as the last winter snowflake melts, the animals of Maple Valley begin to prepare for the annual festival, at which they celebrate the coming spring. While the adults bring beauty to the villages, the youngest (and fastest) animals are tasked with combing the nearby forests and collecting all sorts of gifts for the holiday. And you can`t delay, because time is running out - as soon as the first dusk falls, the celebration will begin!

Before you is a new family game in the world of the popular «Creature Comforts»! This is an extremely cozy economic strategy for traveling along the paths, managing resources, gathering friends and creating gifts. Your goal is to win as many hearts as possible at the annual spring festival. You will mostly earn points for crafting gifts, each of which will be needed for a specific party, but a large group of friends, a collection of patches, and a stockpile of resources will also earn you points. You have many opportunities to make this festival a memorable one for the people of Maple Valley!

Gameplay Overview

The game lasts for five rounds, called hours. Each round, players take turns taking turns. The active player begins their turn by playing a friend card, or if they have no cards in their hand, they must pass. The round continues until all players have passed in turn.

Turn Structure:

1. Play a card. Play a friend card, which determines the type of path you can travel on this turn and activates your friend`s special abilities. Instead of a friend, you can play a wanderer card, gain some resources, and skip the next two steps.
2. Go on a journey. Depending on your friend`s specialization, travel to another location along the appropriate path. You can also spend maps for additional movement.
3. Activate a location. Each location on the field has useful properties: in the groves you can collect goods, in the villages you can find new friends, in the watchtowers you can get maps and gifts, in the clubs you can find gifts and patches, as well as diversify the fun, in the shelters you can get two gifts at once, on the cliffs you can find solar goods and fly to the village, but the surroundings will differ from game to game.
4. Create gifts. Spend the necessary resources to create one or more gifts. Gifts can also be used to diversify the fun, which will be useful both for the player whose dice are on it the most, and for other participants.

End of the game

After the fifth round, proceed to the final scoring. You`ll earn points for gifts, friends, patches, remaining resources, and fun. The player with the highest score wins — they`ve won the most hearts at the festival! In case of a tie, all challengers win, and that`s even better than winning it yourself!
