This is a simple and fast association game in which players have to use correctly selected adjectives to find the right word. The game has several difficulty modes, so it can be played in almost any company.
Even for beginners
Before the game starts, a playing field is placed on the table, around which 8 cards with nouns are laid out. 3 more cards are placed next to each other. In subsequent rounds, they will replace the guessed cards on the field.
One player becomes the Explorer, and the others take on the role of Guides. The Explorer takes a deck of cards with numbers from 1 to 8, shuffles it and draws one card, showing the number on it to everyone else. He must guess the word that is on the field under this number. Guides receive 8 cards with adjectives each.
The player to the left of the Explorer starts first. He chooses one card from his hand that, in his opinion, most characterizes the desired word. After that, the researcher can eliminate up to two cards on the playing field.
If the desired word remains on the table, the players continue the round. The next Explorer chooses a card. If it seems to him that none of the cards in his hand are suitable, he can pass. However, the player after him will be obliged to play.
If the researcher eliminated the word before it was solved, the players together lose.
From Koala to Sydney
As you understood in the simplest mode, players need to guess only 4 words correctly. But the authors offer several other difficulty modes in which the number of rounds can be any. And another mode reduces the number of Explorers, which limits the choice of cards with adjectives and makes the game more difficult.
