A game for you and your friends: describe and show
This is a cool team competitive game of guessing words using clues or gestures. The team that guesses the most cards in three rounds wins.
The peculiarity of the game is the use of well-known names, popular objects or characters.
Game progress
- At the beginning of the game, you need to form a deck of 40 random cards and choose the yellow or blue side. Players are divided into 2-4 teams, 2 people in each.
- Teams take turns clockwise until all 40 cards are guessed. The time for one team to move is limited by an hourglass, the opposing teams remind of this by shouting «Time is up!».
- Words must be explained according to the rules of the round - in the first round, describe them in phrases, in the second round - give a hint with only one word, and in the third - perform a pantomime. All players on the team explain the words on the cards in turn.
- The team puts the guessed cards face up, not the guessed ones - face down in the center of the table, at the end of the turn they return to the deck.
- The teams continue their moves until all 40 cards have been guessed. Then you need to record the team results, shuffle the same 40 cards and start a new round.
If the game is difficult
- Take 40 cards and deal them to all players approximately equally.
- Each player looks at their cards without showing them to the others. If the word on the card is unfamiliar to the player, they can exchange this card for a new one (from the box).
- When all players have looked at their cards, collect them and shuffle them, forming a deck. Place it face down in the center of the table.
