Magura
Magura is an ancient mythological creature in Ukrainian demonology, which has the form of a large, powerful bird. It resembles an eagle or a falcon with bright, shiny plumage that shimmers with all the colors of the sky. Her wings are so huge that when she flies they are able to block the sun, plunging the earth into shadow. Magura`s eyes are piercing and wise, as if all the secrets of heaven are hidden in them.
It is believed that Magura lives high in the mountains or in the highest trees of the forest, from where he watches everything that happens below. She is the guardian of the heavenly world, the link between people and gods. Magura appears when important events occur or when people need to be protected from evil forces. Her cry can be both a warning and a sign of help.
Magura is a symbol of freedom, strength and greatness of nature. Her image personifies the power of the elements and insubordination to earthly laws. In Ukrainian demonology, Magura is often associated with celestial phenomena, storms and thunderstorms, acting as a heavenly warrior or protector.
